Our greatest apologies for providing insufficient information that caused confusion for all users regarding the breed count reset in the conversion to Pet V2. We are here to cover you.
The following is the full information on the breed count reset process in the conversion to Pet V2:
When a Pet is converted to V2, the breed count will be reset. Yet, the Breed count is based on the Pet’s Gen. If a Pet is born from a previous breed, the breed count can't be reset to 0.
For Pets hatched from eggs: It’s the first generation of its kind, so the breed count is 0.
For Pet born from breeding: Pet’s Gen = Max Gen of Parents +1; and the Breed count is Pet’s Gen divided by 2.
With all that said, the Breed count is only reset to 0 if the Pet is hatched from the egg. For pets born from breeding, the breed count would be set to its initial count when it was first created, not be 0
